Cognitive control and developmental language disorders

The aim of our research is to map the linguistic and cognitive control profiles of children with developmental language disorders (LDD). The theoretical background of our research is provided by Cohen's (2017) cognitive control model and Oberauer's (2009) interference theory. Although numerous studies have confirmed that certain cognitive control functions are weaker in children with SLI, a more thorough understanding of the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of these differences requires further investigation, as the data in the literature are sometimes contradictory due to the heterogeneity of the group and the use of different theoretical frameworks and testing procedures (Marton, Gehebe & Pazuelo, 2019).

Secondary disorders of language development

The aim of our research is to understand the development and advancement of language skills in different linguistic and cognitive profiles in intellectual disability, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.
