Our faculty has reached another important milestone in its professional collaboration with Indiana University. A few days ago, a face-to-face meeting took place in Budapest with Seth Walker, the university’s director of international partnerships. The meeting focused on continuing our joint work and reviewing opportunities for collaboration in the coming years.
At the meeting, led by Dr. habil. Anikó Sándor, vice dean for international affairs, and with the participation of Dr. Csilla Cserti-Szauer, academic director of this development, the parties reviewed the results of their collaboration to date, with particular emphasis on the study trip to Bloomington during the fall semester, as well as the professional workshops held in Budapest during the spring semester with the participation of Prof. Sarah Hurwith and Lesley Davis, and the topics covered in those workshops.
A key topic of the discussion was the preparation of a joint student and faculty mobility grant application to be submitted by the IU School of Education and ELTE BGGYK. We hope that the planned collaborations will provide faculty and students with the opportunity to become familiar with training and service models that operate within two educational systems that differ in many respects but are organized around shared values.
The meeting reaffirmed that both institutions remain committed to long-term professional collaboration.
