Visiting researcher Youngmin Lee has arrived at ELTE's Gusztáv Bárczi Faculty of Special Needs Education, where she will be working at the Institute for Disability and Social Participation until June.
Youngmin Lee is an alumnus of Andong University, where she studied law and social welfare. She is currently the deputy head of department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Sejong and is conducting research on the topic of inclusive sports. In her home country, she is committed to expanding community-based sports opportunities for people with disabilities and their families, and her main task is to plan and oversee the implementation of the necessary social policy programs.
During her semester here, which is part of a South Korean government scholarship program supporting short-term training abroad, her primary goal is to expand her research with Hungarian experiences. Her main focus is on how to take advantage of the opportunities for participation and inclusion offered by joint sports activities for people with and without disabilities.
As part of the collaboration, we are planning several joint professional programs, which we will report on in the coming months.
