PhD students arrived from the University of Calcutta

Online content: students have never been abroad, with one exception. During the online meetings, it was important to talk about the practical aspects of travelling - e.g. how to change forints, what criteria to use when choosing accommodation, how to prepare for the winter weather in Hungary. During the professional part of the online meetings, we started to prepare together for the morning programme they were going to hold in Bárcz.
Physical mobility: the students attended the introductory lectures which are compulsory for all Erasmus+ students coming to Bárczi. Here they had the opportunity to attend lectures on very different topics given by several Bárczis students and to visit different institutions. As an own assignment, they gave two lectures on the morning of 20 February 2025. One of them was an interactive introduction to India, its geography and culture. In the second, a longer presentation on the situation, education, employment and social inclusion of people with disabilities in India. The presentations, which lasted about two hours, were enriched by presentations and short videos.
The Bárczi has never before hosted students from outside Europe on Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility scholarships. Now that we are working with two partners at the same time (UNCUYO, Argentina and University of Calcutta, India), it is professionally evident that both the teacher mobility and the incoming student mobility have provided valuable knowledge for the participants and those involved in the partner institutions.
