Successful conclusion of the COST SHIINE project stimulates social innovation
The participants of the event reviewed the achievements of the 38-country network over the last 5 years. The common feature of the innovations presented was the recognition of the responsibility of higher education institutions in stimulating innovation and the search for answers to societal problems through multidisciplinary labs.
Thanks to the project, Csilla Cserti-Szauer, Vanda Katona, and Anikó Sándor have created the Disability Studies and Social Innovation (DSSI) Lab, which has been actively working since 2019 to facilitate research and development projects with disabled users.
The main future goal of the DSSI Lab is to analyse and develop the methodology of participatory innovations with people with disabilities, involving key actors in the quadruple helix ecosystem.
