The first Erasmus+ BIP organised by the faculty

From 15-19 July 2024, the face-to-face part of the first Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) project of our faculty was organised. This is an international opportunity for students and teachers to complete a full course. An important condition for this type of programme is that the course must include both an online and a face-to-face component.

The current BIP focuses on adapted physical education and sport. The 15 students came from Estonia (Tallinn University), Oldenburg (Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg), Flensburg (Europa-Universität Flensburg) and Cluj-Napoca (Babeş-Bolyai University). The students come from a wide range of educational backgrounds, but they share a love of sport and a desire to learn more about the involvement of people with disabilities in sport. During the week, in addition to the theoretical lessons, they gained a lot of personal experience by trying out different adapted sports: on Monday they focused on boccia, on Tuesday they played sitting volleyball in the Ecseri Road gym and on Wednesday they played goalball at the School for the Blind under the guidance of Róbert Páni, a coach. The practical part of the week was rounded off with the Suhanj! Foundation, they tried out tandem cycling, handbiking and ran with their eyes covered to test their courage.

In addition to the students, we were joined by lecturers from abroad, including Professor Andrea Erdélyi from Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and Professor Martin Kudláček from Palacký University Olomouc.
