All Bárczi students have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at one of our European partner universities with an Erasmus+ scholarship. Applications can be submitted during the main call in the spring semester and during the second call in the fall smester. The aim of this Erasmus+ partial study program is for our students to complete at least 20 ECTS abroad related to their studies at home and/or elective courses. The duration of the partial study program is the length of the semester announced by the partner university, which may vary from country to country. The general application requirements are included in ELTE's central call for applications. The faculty-specific application requirements are listed below.

All students enrolled in full-time and part-time bachelor's (BA) and master's (MA) programs in special education, as well as students enrolled in post-graduate programs, provided that they are actively enrolled in the program at the time of the planned trip.

Eligible applicants, list of eligible universities

Students enrolled in the BA program may apply as first-year students, but they must have completed at least two semesters by the time of departure.

Students can apply for scholarships in each cycle of their studies (BA, MA, PhD) for a maximum period of 12 months per cycle.

This means that students who have already received an Erasmus scholarship during the same type of training but have not yet exhausted the total 12 months can reapply.

The list of eligible universities can be found on the Mobility-Online platform.

Conditions of a successful application

It is worth to do a research in advance regarding the host university, its educational profile, the subjects available, language options, the start and end dates of each semester, and the language of instruction. Those applying to German or Spanish universities should be prepared for the fact that in most cases there are no courses taught in English, so you will need to speak German or Spanish.

More and more universities require students to have verifiable language skills. Our partner institutions require at least a B2 level (intermediate) language exam, but in some cases the requirement may be higher. It is essential to check the partner universities' websites to find out whether the university you are applying to requires a language exam, because if you do not meet the necessary requirements, your application may be rejected by the partner university.

Please note: not having a language exam certificate is not a reason for exclusion when submitting your application, but it may be when applying to the host university!

GRANTS

Students who win the scholarship will receive a scholarship for a period officially certified by the partner institution. The start and length of the semester is determined by the partner university. Students must find out about the semester abroad before applying and indicate the number of months on the application form.

The amount of the scholarship depends on the country to which the student is traveling:
