Barczi Researcher Recognised Among ELTE's Promising Researchers
The Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) Scientific Council has announced the winners of the "Promising Researcher of ELTE" award for the tenth consecutive year. This prestigious award aims to support young researchers and recognise outstanding scientific achievements.

For the first time, a faculty member from the Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Needs Education, Dr. Lilla Zakariás, has been honoured with this award. Dr. Zakariás, a research fellow at the Institute for Methodology of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation, received the accolade from Dr. László Borhy, the Rector of ELTE.

The competition was open to university faculty members under the age of forty who hold a PhD. The selection criteria included not only past research achievements but also international visibility and the future potential of their research.

The awards were presented during the "Day of Scientific Research at ELTE" event, part of the Hungarian Science Day, on the 29th of November, 2024. The ceremony featured short films showcasing the work of the awardees.

The Bárczi community warmly congratulates Dr. Lilla Zakariás on this distinguished citation.
