John M. Palladino, PhD, is a professor of special education at Eastern Michigan University (United States) and specializes in emotional-behavior disorders and special education leadership/administration.
His scholarship addresses the ethical and practical challenges leaders and teachers encounter in their provision of special education services, conducted mostly through qualitative field-based research of marginalized groups of students. Throughout his tenure, he has served on local, state, and national boards of non-profits and educational institutions, in addition to volunteering as a pet therapist in special education classrooms. Prior to his professorial appointment, John earned his doctorate degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln concurrent with an administrative appointment as an elementary school principal.
